Description
- This IIT Madras initiative establishes a modern, institute-wide animal house facility ? housed in a dedicated floor of the Biotechnology department's newly constructed six-storied building ? equipped with necessary equipment and skilled manpower to serve multiple departments and neighbouring Chennai institutions. By enhancing pre-clinical and in vivo research capabilities, improving research scholars' training quality, and accelerating discoveries in cancer, cardiovascular, and neurological diseases, the facility strengthens India's translational science and novel pharmacological treatment development.
