- With over 1.4 million new cancer cases annually in India ? where conventional therapies often fail in drug-resistant and metastatic disease and treatment costs drive families into debt ? nanomedicine offers a breakthrough by reformulating existing drugs into safer, targeted nanoformulations with greater efficacy and fewer side effects. This IIT Madras Centre for Cancer Nanomedicine and Translational Health pioneers affordable therapies, regenerative platforms, and innovative delivery systems, equipping scientists with state-of-the-art infrastructure to reduce cancer suffering, improve survival, and ease the economic burden on Indian families.
