Objective
- The Energy Centre aims to bring under one roof in IITM's discovery campus a building and infrastructure to create an advanced ecosystem for developing and validating India's next-generation energy technologies, anchored within the purpose-built facility at the Thaiyur Campus.
Description
- The IIT Madras Discovery Campus at Thaiyur is a 163-acre research-focused campus designed to meet the Institute's expanding research and innovation needs. It hosts state-of-the-art standalone research centres supported by residential, instrumentation, and conference facilities. IIT Madras proposes to establish a state-of-the-art Energy Centre building at the Thaiyur campus as a key demonstrator of the IIT Madras Energy Corridor.
