Quantum Computing Innovation CSR Project

The Industry Academia Quantum Consortium

The Industry Academia Quantum Consortium

Principal Investigator

Prof. Anil Prabhakar

Objective

  • The envisaged public-private consortium will explore the applications of quantum computing in fields such as cryptography, quantum finance, quantum machine learning, optimization and risk management, and quantum simulations with applications in chemistry and synthetic biology

Description

  • As a member of the National Mission on Quantum Technology and Applications (NMQTA) and an IBM Quantum Innovation Centre, IIT Madras leads industry and academia engagement in Quantum Science and Technology. This public-private consortium explores quantum computing applications across cryptography, quantum finance, machine learning, optimization, risk management, and quantum simulations in chemistry and synthetic biology ? up-skilling subject matter experts, recasting domain-specific problems for quantum computers, and building a deployable talent pool for real-world quantum solutions.

Impact

  • Subject matter experts are up-skilled to work on quantum solutions of interest, Domain specific problems are recast to be solved on quantum computers, We conduct a deep-dive into domain specific problems with industry applicability

Budget in Lakhs

80.00
