- This IIT Madras initiative establishes a cutting-edge research centre for sustainable water solutions, developing advanced water quality analytical tools and purification technologies ? including affordable arsenic and fluoride-free systems, disaster clean water solutions, and cost-effective domestic and industrial wastewater treatment. By fostering technology transfer to industries and government bodies, providing training for engineers, teachers, and policymakers, and offering referral analytical services and regulatory knowledge support, the centre builds long-term capacity for clean water access across India.
