Description

  • Building on IIT Madras's implemented water management projects across five Tamil Nadu villages ? spanning source identification, treatment, greywater, solar systems, and hygiene ? this initiative establishes advanced research infrastructure with sophisticated instruments for analysing emerging contaminants including pharmaceuticals, pesticides, and personal care products. By integrating solar-powered purification, in-house environmental sensors, and wastewater and solid waste solutions, the project trains future sustainability experts and expands scalable, community-focused water management innovations across India.

  • The project enhances IIT Madras for water research with advanced tools, emphasising sustainability and talent development, Sophisticated instruments also train future experts, fostering knowledge and innovation
