Objective

• The objective of this project is to establish a small microgrid system, either connected with existing DISCOM grid independent of grid to provide limited power (500W) up to 20 houses for a 4-hour period with storage option.

Description

• Center for Excellence in Energy and Telecommunication (CEET), (# 384 of 2008) is a registered society under Tamil Nadu Societies registration Act 1975 promoted by IIT Madras, The scope and R&D focus of the organization is to create an environment of innovation in the field of telecom, battery system, electric vehicle, and building management, Battery and Solar PV recycling, develop further ready indigenous capability and enable absorption of the current technology.

Impact

• The CEET will design and integrate the system and hand over to local authority for installation and commissioning, Power connection to individual house will be the responsibility of local authority. CEET will support in installation and commissioning and provide know how for the operation of system.
