Green Hydrogen R&D Lab
Principal Investigator
Prof. Aravind Kumar Chandiran
Objective
- The primary objectives of the proposed project are. (i) build a dedicated research lab for green hydrogen technology, specifically direct solar water splitting, (ii) Introduce UG/PG laboratory to train students on this green hydrogen technology, (iii) enable train external human resource.
Description
- This project will involve three work packages that will be helpful in developing the green hydrogen ecosystem. Exploration of a viable source of green hydrogen generation and taking it closer to commercialization will be the focus of this project, WP1. Developing a fabrication line for green H2 generation devices, WP2. Optimization and benchmarking of the performance of the developed devices, WP3. Hands-on experimental training on development of materials and devices for green H2 generation.
Impact
- Hydrogen R&D laboratory with fabrication line and characterization systems of solar water splitting devices, A UG/PG laboratory course (targeting at least 25 students every semester) to train students on green hydrogen systems, Train external students in green hydrogen sector
