Student Unmanned Aerial Systems (SUAS IITM) for Climate Innovation Project

Student unmanned aerial systems (SUAS-IITM)

Student unmanned aerial systems (SUAS-IITM)

Principal Investigator

Prof. Satadal Ghosh

Objective

  • The current project aligns with global efforts to mitigate climate change, conserve biodiversity, and promote innovation in unmanned aerial systems (UAS).

Description

  • We are a student-led aerial robotics team incubated within the AE-GNC Laboratory at IIT-Madras. The project now spans across 4 divisions, 13 members, 3 advisory labs and 2 allied teams of different universities. We are bridging the gap between theoretical classrooms and practical applications with technology, interdisciplinary involvement of people and active hands-on approach with engineering students at the same time addressing real-world challenges.

Impact

  • Complete Product Development., Global Demonstrations and Competitions., Technological Advancements., Capacity Building.
