Objective

  • Integrate innovative technologies and address critical deficiencies in existing systems to transform glaucoma screening in India., Collaboration between IIT Madras and Sankara Netralaya to develop and implement four methodologies over a three-year period., Methodologies encompass cutting-edge advancements to enhance detection, assessment, and monitoring of glaucoma among rural masses.

Description

  • Conventional Fundus and anterior segment Imaging Investigation: Utilizing established imaging techniques for early detection of glaucoma., AI-Based Anomaly Detection: Employing artificial intelligence to analyze fundus images with precision for glaucomatous abnormalities., Automated Peripheral Vision Assessment: Creating an automated system for peripheral vision assessment, facilitating early detection and monitoring of glaucoma progression., Novel Needle-Based Ocular Pressure Measurement: Introducing a Gold standard for ocular pressure measurement at an affordable cost to measure pressure in challenging cases, ensuring accurate diagnosis and management of glaucoma.
