- Through a transformative grant, we aim to propel the activities of our student competition team, Asai (Tamil: "to move"), under the TTK Center for Rehabilitation Research and Device Development (R2D2) and in collaboration with the National Center for Assistive Health Technologies (NCAHT-IITM).

- Despite advancements, significant challenges remain in developing prosthetic solutions, especially for low-income individuals in India and other emerging markets: Limited access to affordable, high-performance prosthetics., Lack of local manufacturing and repair services., Insufficient customization options to meet diverse user needs., The proposed initiative addresses these challenges by combining cutting-edge research, innovative engineering, and user-centric design.
