- Long driving hours, difficult traffic conditions, and lack of support systems make commercially driving an unattractive proposition., Lack of regulations and insufficient implementation of existing regulations make it a challenge., Data driven techniques using smart phone and sensor data can significantly address the need for driver rating.

- Data standards for CDRS., DPI for evaluating and rating drivers., A national database of commercial drivers and their driving behaviour., CDRS will result in safer driving practices that can save several thousand lives annually., Fleet managers and drivers will have a healthier working environment.
