Objective
- For the selected ten Blackspot locations, the aim is to reduce fatal and severe injury accidents by >35% compared to 2023.
Description
- Delhi-Gurugram expressway / NH48 has many fatal accidents over a small stretch. NH 19 ? Delhi ? Faridabad also reports high number of accidents ? extending to over 20 km. A cluster is also observed near Palwal ? important to understand type of accidents on this stretch since elevated corridors have been built., Ten Blackspot locations have been identified in Gurugram corridor. Accident data will be collected and studied. Statistical and ML will be used to identify major causes of accidents.
Impact
- Ten blackspot locations identified., Major civil work will be suggested to municipality and police but not part of current scope., Minor civil work will be carried out based on funds availability.
