Objective
- Develop and clinically test a biofeedback-driven VR neuro-rehab setup to enhance cognitive functions in patients with neurocognitive disorders.
Description
- Virtual Reality (VR) offers immersive, cost-effective rehabilitation for various neurocognitive disorders., VR-based therapies improve cognitive functions, sensory, motor skills, and social interactions., This project collaborates with neuro-rehab experts from the Institute of Neurosciences, Kolkata (IN-K) to design VR exercises and environments., Clinical trials will be conducted at IN-K, and a user-friendly VR system will be developed., The VR software architecture allows easy task customization., The project aims to extend the system to mobile devices and release a low-cost VR tool.

- Provides a low-cost indigenous VR solution for a wide range of neurocognitive disorder patients., Enhances cognitive functions, attention, speech, memory, and social interaction., Facilitates early-stage recovery, not possible with conventional therapies., Empowers patients to perform daily activities effectively.
