Objective
- To study the power requirements for the farm equipment used in the rural area for various farming applications such as tilling, weed cutting etc.
Description
- Weeders used in rural areas for various agriculture applications are investigated to find alternative power sources, with selection based on day-to-day power and energy requirements ? factoring in structural frames, blades, wheels, motor, and transmission components. This initiative develops battery-powered e-weeders supported by solar charging stations, reducing dependence on conventional fuel sources and making farming operations easier, cleaner, and more affordable. Through prototype demonstrations and field-ready solutions, the project directly contributes to net-zero rural livelihoods and empowers farmers with accessible, environment-friendly agricultural tools
Impact
- Design on the power requirement of weeder components such as battery, charge controller, etc., Solar power station to meet the power requirement of farm equipment, assembly and repair station, A Prototype battery-powered e-weeder for the demonstration to invite farmers for the utilization
