- With the IPCC estimating less than 50% chance of limiting global warming to 1.5?C, AI and ML are fast emerging as strategic enablers of climate action. The AI4NetZero Centre of Excellence at IIT Madras spearheads development, validation, and deployment of AI/ML-based solutions for energy efficiency, emissions reduction, and sustainability across Electricity Generation and Cooling, Manufacturing, and Buildings ? building data infrastructure, developing workforce, enabling policy, and accelerating India's net-zero transition while establishing global technological leadership in AI-powered sustainability innovation
