  • The primary aim of this proposal is to establish a dedicated research centre to tackle pregnancy related health complications by providing resources to researchers, data analysts, clinicians and others

Description

  • This IIT Madras initiative establishes a state-of-the-art Maternal and Vascular Health Research Centre ? equipped with high-end infrastructure ? to advance understanding of pregnancy-associated vascular complications and their impact on maternal, foetal, and neonatal health. Through interdisciplinary research and clinical collaboration, the centre develops novel diagnostic assays for early complication prediction, sustainable prevention strategies, and low-cost tools, while building skill and awareness among rural healthcare professionals ? driving adoption of India-specific, data-based solutions at district and rural healthcare facilities.

  • Development of novel and sustainable strategies to prevent and manage complicated pregnancies, Development of low-cost diagnostic assays and tools for early prediction of maternal and foetal complications, Skill development and awareness of rural healthcare professionals, In the long term, the final goal will be adoption and implementation of science and data-based India-specific sustainable solutions at district and rural healthcare facilities
