Objective
- 1. Enhance digital awareness and literacy among rural and peri-urban school children and adults. 2. Provide practical computer-enabled education to improve technology knowledge and skills. 3. Empower students and adults to navigate the digital world safely and confidently. 4. Establish Rural Technology Centers (RTCs) to support digital literacy initiatives.
Description
- The project, in collaboration with Asha for Education and IIT Madras' Pravartak Technologies Foundation, aims to set up 12 Rural Technology Centers (RTCs) in rural and peri-urban areas. These centers will offer digital literacy courses to 400 students per RTC, with an additional 300 students from government schools associated with each RTC. The curriculum includes courses on digital literacy, computational thinking, and practical knowledge for both children and adults.
