  • The focus of the present proposed project is the creation of an equitable and inclusive society with an objective towards financial freedom

Description

  • Focused on creating an equitable and inclusive society, this IIT Madras initiative addresses three focal areas ? mapping barriers to financial and digital financial literacy among vulnerable sections including women and the geriatric population, developing meaningful training tools tailored to regional and section-wise needs, and exploring training impact on empowerment, well-being, and quality of life. By strengthening digital financial education and promoting informed decision-making, the project advances women's financial freedom and long-term financial stability across India.

Impact

  • The study will help in understanding the training and impact assessment of financial literacy and digital financial literacy in appropriation with regional and section-wise women population in India, The present study will not only provide valuable insights on the importance of training in digital financial education, but is also expected to strengthen women's financial freedom and empowerment
