  • As inclusive finance emerges as a central development priority in South Asia ? with microfinance among its most successful tools ? this IIT Madras Fintech Lab for Quantitative Analysis provides a specialised environment for researching blockchain, digital banking, peer-to-peer lending, and advisory innovations. Through advanced modelling, time-series analysis, new dataset preparation, and risk and uncertainty analysis, the lab produces research papers, discussion papers, and workshops engaging academicians, policymakers, and regulators ? strengthening India's inclusive finance ecosystem and building a skilled workforce

Impact

  • Visible output will be workshops and seminars on applying quantitative data, time-series analysis and forecasting with academicians, policymakers, stakeholders and regulators, The lab will aim to produce research papers, discussion papers, and related academic publications, Quantitative analysis and modelling will enhance understanding, database management, new dataset preparations, emerging trends, risk and uncertainty analysis, informed policy solutions, and a skilled workforce
