Objective

• Our research group has so far developed several solutions to address digitization and AI needs for the current MSME manufacturing lifecycle, Many of these are undergoing initial deployment trials in manufacturing facilities

Description

• Manufacturing MSMEs ? constrained by fragmented systems, manual processes, and paper-based documentation from order tracking to quality assurance ? face significant barriers to AI and IoT adoption. This IIT Madras initiative develops a cost-effective AI and IoT-enabled manufacturing stack currently undergoing deployment trials, positioning MSMEs to compete globally, training undergraduate students to be job-ready in smart manufacturing through faculty development programs, and enabling researchers to access cutting-edge infrastructure for developing innovative digitization solutions across the MSME lifecycle.

Impact

• MSMEs ? Provide a very cost-effective AI solution that will position them to compete globally with the backing of the best technology, Students ? Train students in this stack during undergraduate education so they are job-ready when they graduate, with faculty development programs to adopt it in curricular teaching, Researchers ? Will be able to access the stack for the development of cutting-edge solutions
