Objective
- Development of portable instruments ? one of the primary objectives is to make small-scale mechanical testing instruments that enable students to comprehend and visualize mechanical testing concepts effectively, Hands-on teaching ? a total of 5 government schools will be selected and teachers will be empowered with the necessary training to operate the instruments effectively
Description
- This IIT Madras initiative develops portable, small-scale mechanical testing instruments and deploys them across five government schools in Tamil Nadu through a two-phase approach ? first developing the devices, then training teachers to operate them effectively. By enabling hands-on visualization of mechanical testing concepts, the program enhances students' conceptual grasp, practical skill development, and academic performance, empowering educators and building self-reliant STEM learning environments in underserved schools.
