Objective

  • The initiative focuses on empowering students from government schools in rural Tamil Nadu, motivating them to pursue careers in electronics, semiconductor technologies, and other emerging scientific domains critical to national development.

Description

  • The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras), through its flagship STEM Outreach Initiative, has developed an Electronic Learning Kit aimed at bridging the gap between theoretical education and practical exposure in electronics. As part of the initial implementation, 2,520 electronic kits were distributed to 252 government schools in remote villages, enabling students from Classes IX to XII to gain hands-on experience in electronics and related technologies.
