Objective
- The proposed initiative under the Program shall be referred to as the Rural Interaction Centers ? Vidya Shakti ? under which live online training shall be imparted to the lesser privileged school children of the 6th to 8th grade in the rural areas of Latur and Satara in Maharashtra
Description
- IIT Madras and IITM Pravartak Technologies Foundation ? having established Rural Interaction Centers (RICs) across Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Karnataka, and Sri Lanka ? now propose Vidya Shakti for Maharashtra, setting up RICs in Latur and Satara to deliver live online training to lesser-privileged students of Grades 6 to 8. Through guided instruction, trained facilitators, and accessible digital learning environments, the initiative strengthens learning outcomes and supports long-term academic growth for underserved rural learners.
