- Inspired by MIT's Super-UROP program and envisioned by the IIT Madras alumni batch of 1979, the Young Research Fellow Program fosters research enthusiasm among undergraduates at an early academic stage. By providing structured mentorship and exposure to multidisciplinary research at IIT Madras, the program develops strong research mindsets, increases student engagement in high-impact research, and empowers promising young minds to publish in international journals, present at global conferences, and pursue advanced technical research and higher education.
Impact
- The primary goal of the Young Research Fellow Program is to inspire some of India's most promising young minds to pursue advanced technical research, increase the number of students actively engaged in high-impact research and higher education, and empower students to contribute to the global academic community by encouraging them to publish in esteemed international journals and present at global conferences
