Objective

  • To enhance employability for blind and visually impaired (BVI) individuals and making their skills available to the economy.

Description

  • Blindness and visual impairment (BVI) affects millions of people around the world, making it difficult for them to access employment opportunities and participate fully in the workforce, However, additive manufacturing (AM), also known as 3D printing along with AI and ML based image processing, could provide new pathways for enhancing employability for this population and making their skills available to the economy.

Impact

  • Our proposed solution is designed to enable visually impaired (BVI) professionals to read and access technical content with ease, If proven, this technology would have a significant impact on not only enhanced employability but also other spheres of life for BVI individuals, while reducing the employment barriers that they currently face, The solution aims to bridge the gap between industry and BVI professionals by offering an inclusive and accessible technology.
