Objective
- Study of features and limitations of native natural biopolymer packaging films (N-BPF), Improvement of tear resistance, mechanical properties, hydrophobicity, oxygen and water permeation of BPF.
Description
- The limitations of commercial polyolefin-based and 'bioplastic'-based packaging materials include nonbiodegradability, requirement of special composting conditions for biodegradation, Our team has worked on addressing these limitations and has upgraded the characteristics of natural biopolymer films to satisfy the salient features of an ideal packaging material.
Impact
- Sustainable, eco-friendly, 100% natural raw material based packaging material with economically viability and environmental safety.
