Objective

  • This proposal aims to make a model for sustainable septage management and water conservation in the hill village of 'Darah Bisht,' Champawat, Uttarakhand system for about 30 houses to bio-degrade the black water and use it as manure, recycled water, and clean water flowing to Indian rivers and soil.

Description

  • Awareness campaigns and analysis of the samples, selecting the site., Design of the plant according to the local needs, Installation of the plant and monitoring and sharing of the maintenance guidelines

Impact

  • Gravity-based management of sludge and water coming out of septic tanks/leach pits will protect the natural environment and stop contamination of the kitchen gardens., The resources obtained from the management, such as recycled water (water conservation) and compost, are to be used for organic farming.
