Objective

  • The primary objective of this study is to establish an early warning system for monitoring the spread of COVID-19 in Chennai, India, particularly during partial and lockdown periods.

Description

  • Commence surveillance for COV2 and ARG in wastewater and aquatic environments, followed by the design process., Construct a 500 L/day pilot plant for disinfecting secondary treated wastewater to eliminate viruses, bacteria, and their genetic material entirely., Create an infection mitigation strategy using surveillance findings and deliver a policy whitepaper to the health ministry.
