Objective
- The objective is to disseminate the following technologies developed by RuTAG IIT Madras: Small Scale Paddy Thresher, Vending Cart, Electronic Jacquard Handloom, Mango Seed Decorticator
Description
- RuTAG is an initiative conceptualized and supported by the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India. RuTAG centres have been established at seven IITs. The pan-IIT initiative acts as a catalyzing mechanism between technical institutions and grass root organizations, encouraging the development of science to meet urban and rural needs.
Impact
- For 60 css trainers covering 20 villages ,each with 10 products, the number of orders will be 2000. Considering a family of 5 members the outreach of technology will work out to 10000 beneficiaries.
