Digital Twin-Based Therapeutics CSR Project for Parkinson's and Alzheimer's

Digital twin-based therapeutics for neurodegenerative diseases (Parkinsons & Alzheimer)

Digital twin-based therapeutics for neurodegenerative diseases (Parkinsons & Alzheimer)

Principal Investigator

Prof. V Srinivasa Chakravarthy

Objective

  • To create a digital twin-based approach to therapeutics neurodegenerative diseases - Parkinson's and Alzheimer's. To develop a model of the cortico-hippocampal system for spatial navigation and short-term memory. Develop an AI-based virtual assistant for Alzheimer's disease patients.

Description

  • Digital Twin of Parkinson's disease patient for Deep Brain Simulation. Validating the DBS model of PD on clinical data. Deployment of DBS model of PD in hospital setting. Develop a comprehensive model of cortico-hippocampal system for Alzheimer's disease. Develop a virtual assistant called "Yaad Yaar" for Alzheimer's disease. It assists the patient by supplying the necessary contextual information at the right time.

Impact

  • Develop Quantitative, Unified, Affordable Diagnostic System (QUADis-PD) for Parkinson's disease, and an AI-based virtual assistant app called "Yaad Yaar" for Alzheimer's disease patients. Digital Twin simulations performed on patients.
