Disease Network Modelling CSR Project for Systems Medicine and Public Health

Disease Networks

Disease Networks

Principal Investigator

Prof. R Krishna Kumar

Objective

  • The main objective of the current project is to map the disease network through a scientific mathematical framework.

Description

  • Diseases hunt humans in packs. MASLD's associates include obesity, high blood pressure, abnormal cholesterol, etc. For example, a whopping 64.6% to 90% of obese individuals present with MASLD. That brings us to an important question: How do we analyse diseases?, Human diseases are part of a complex web of interactions that take place at various levels of hierarchy. At the core of this intricate setup are Disease networks, which hold the key to a transformative understanding of diseases. These networks provide a comprehensive framework, leading to improved diagnostics, treatments, and public health strategies.

Impact

  • identifying disease mechanisms., improving treatment strategies., enhancing personalised medicine., informing public health initiatives.
