Objective

  • To establish a 128-channel wireless EEG system for developing neurally integrated assistive devices and prosthetics for people with spinal cord injuries and amputations.

Description

  • The project will establish India's first high-density wireless EEG research facility at IIT Madras to develop brain-computer interface technologies for intelligent prosthetics and mobility devices.

Impact

  • Enables next-generation brain-controlled assistive devices, reduces cognitive load for users, advances neuroscience research, and improves mobility and independence for persons with disabilities.
