Objective
- The core objective of AquaMAP is to provide technological solutions to develop sustainable water/waste management practices integrally with water conservation and resource recovery approaches vital for sustenance of clean and healthy village envisioned under SDG6, SBM and JJM. The project will fetch improved public health outcomes, besides enhancing their social and environmental settings.
Description
- Identify pressing water related problems faced in various parts of the country., Implement the existing / new technologies, solutions, management practices for water and waste water management, water conservation and water rejuvenation, solid waste management (SWM) in villages /towns/ industries/ agriculture areas, as relevant., Monitor the performance over a period of time under different stress conditions for sustainability under existing policy framework., Extract knowledge from gathered information on the technology-society-governance nexus and suggest changes in the policy framework, if needed.
